Queen City IndieCon is an event in Cincinnati Ohio, featuring literary royalty from the world of Indie authors. There will be two days jam packed with giveaways, food, interesting talks, and a book signing! If that’s not enough for our authors and premium ticket holders you will be invited to several after parties and a ball. That’s right, we will have a ball called the Royal Affair Awards Ceremony. Dress up and enjoy yourself as we watch which authors will be taking home the tiaras.

2014 Queen City Indie Con Itinerary

Friday October 24th

7:00-8:00am Registration

Pick up your welcome kit and badge at Memorial Hall. You will receive an email shortly before the event with directions. It is a 1/2 mile walk from our hotel and from 7-7:45am we will have volunteer shuttles running back and forth for those of you who may have a hard time walking. We want authors to enjoy the day of talks so table set up will not be until day two.

8:00-8:30am Welcome and Giveaways

In auditorium at Memorial Hall Wendy Owens will address the crowd, give her welcome talk, and we will have sponsor appreciation as well as some giveaways.

9:30-10:30am Panel - It's All About the Marketing

From choosing the right categories and tags, to placing ads where it counts, find out how to make your time and dollars count when it comes to marketing.

10:30-11:30am Panel - That Epic Kind of Love

How to create that couple that can restore a readers faith in true love. Also, let’s talk about the sexy hotties that readers can’t get off their minds. How do we create a leading man that makes a reader melt? What does a reader want in him? What will turn a reader off about a book hunk?

11:30am - 1pm - LUNCH provided by Mark My Words and Bryna Butler

Lunch will be provided for all individuals (unless you purchased a no frills/non-assistant ticket). Tables will be set up in the lobby area of Memorial Hall. At 11:30 we will break and filter downstairs to grab a plate. Off from the lobby there will be 2 rooms set up with tables for people to eat at and mingle.

1:00-2:00pm Panel - Show Me the Money

Is free a great marketing ploy or a mistake? How do you know where you fit in the pricing scale from 99 cents to the big bucks? This panel gets down and dirty with pricing and figuring out where your book fits. Find out what has worked for other authors.

2:00-3:00pm Panel - Is That a Stake in Your Pocket or Are You Just Happy to See Me?

Paranormal is so much more than vampires and werewolves these days. This panel will discuss the vastness of paranormal and fantasy and what makes it something we love as well as something that is here to stay.

Signing is at the Millennium Hotel in the Grand Ballroom so come anytime between these hours. Go and have lunch with your friends, relax and enjoy your morning. Please be ready to sign at 1:30 pm sharp.

1:30-2:00pm - VIP Reader early access

30 Min early access to author signing in The Grand Ballroom at the Millennium Hotel.

2:00-5:30pm - Author Signing Event

The Grand Ballroom at the Millennium Hotel.

5:30-6:30pm Break everything down

Get ready for the after party (you are on your own for dinner, but we will have a list of suggestions in your registration packet). You can’t hang out in the grand ballroom after 6:30pm as they will be breaking the tables down and getting it ready for our awards ceremony.

9:00-10pm - Royal Affair Awards Ceremony

10:00pm-Midnight - After Party

An event for conference attendees and VIP readers, with cash bar in the Grand Ballroom at The Millennium Hotel.
